Hats from Hamura
Yay! They can use my crocheted hats at the orphanage. I've been making and giving these away for years; busy-work that's relaxing and fruitful. I can never just sit.......although give me a hammock and a balmy autumn afternoon.....

Oh, how wonderful!!! I have a bunch of wild colored scarves that I made with leftover yarn that are just sitting around here too! It would be nice to see somebody loving and using them!!...I'm glad your hats are gonna get some love. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a worthy cause. I am sure the kids will love each and every one of them.
ReplyDeleteThis winter I plan to take a class at the local hospital so that I can learn to knit hats for cancer patients. I can't think of anything better to do on cold days when I just don't feel like doing anything.
That is really neat! You get to relax and do work you enjoy (that isn't really work), and then you get the satisfaction of knowing it will go to someone who will appreciate it. That's quite a lovely photo of the hats too, with their cheery colors. :)
ReplyDeleteWell done lady! Keep and stay involved. Not only will you learn the language but, you'll understand the culture. Wishing you were here to coach me through some tough teachng/"crowd control" issues. :)
